Electricity Issues & Missy Higgins....what do they have in common???

It was very obvious at the Arias that many of our talented artists have a real concern for global issues. In March, a number of Australian artists supported 'Earth Hour', giving it greater emphasis in the community. Many young people were more interested because their favourite artists were supporting this cause. As students studying electricity you have no doubt thought about the issues....if you need some more information go to http://www.smh.com.au/earthhour/2008/

Well year 6 I have emailed Missy Higgins through her web site to see if we can get some comments from her about her views on green energy. I'm not sure if it will do any good but you never know! I went to the ARIAS and was quite surprised that Missy is not the only artist to promote the use of green energy. Others include John Butler Trio, Wolfmother and Sneaky Sound System. I suppose this demonstrates the importance of us understanding that we do need to conserve energy. I heard Missy talking on the Merrick and Rosso show and she spoke about the fact that she will use energy where coal does not have to be burned. It would be interesting to know what generates green energy.
