This video makes me feel very greatful that I have plenty of food and drink and a family that looks after me. It makes me sad for all the people that have such a hard life.

This video informs us that there are people in the world that are less fortunate than us.
We should be very grateful for what we have and not complain even if what we want isn’t good enough. We should all feel lucky enough to have a warm bed to sleep in at night and food and water to supply us when needed. This video is a great example of kids that have what they need and get what they want (most of the time)

This particular video makes me feel bad because we have everything and we still ask for more even though we have everything that we need to live. But there are other countries that have not even half of what we have and it makes me feel really bad. When I looked at that girl and brother and listened to what she was saying they sounded like spoilt brats because they have everything and they still wanted more. For example when she was complaining that her I pod only had one gig. But other kids do not even have one and there are some children will never ever get what we have today so we should take this video in to consideration because we should never complain that we do not get this or do not get that there are other children in the world that the only gift they will get every day is the biggest thing that any one could ever want and that is life.

TEENAGE AFFLUENZA

Thanks mrs w for showing us this great video, it has shown us how silly we are for complaining about little things that are a luxury to others in the country’s that are not as fortunate as we are. We have realised that we are so greedy to have all these extras and other people around the world don’t even have the basics in life. This movie made us want to do something about it not just think about it we could do this by gathering money to give to the less fortunate countries such as Africa this money would hopefully get to the less fortunate and pay for their food, water and other basics. This movie had made us realize how fortunate we are to live in such a great country like Australia.

When I saw this video clip it made me feel really annoyed and angry because that girl and her brother were being so selfish when she was talking about her toothbrush being really old, some children don’t even have any toothbrushes and the milk bar was 5 minutes down the road and she couldn’t even walk down there. It then made me feel really sad because I saw those little kids with really old and ripped clothes on and they had to carry water on there heads really early in the morning and I really wanted to help them but I can’t really do anything for them.

This make us feel guilty because we complain about stupid things like “my ipod has only 1gig and I want a better one” also like “I tooth brush 1 week old and I want the one with the music in it.” M.B and I are very sorry for all those adults and kids struggling through this tough and sad time. We have red meat to eat for dinner and they have to go through the waste from the garbage trucks that go past them every now and then. They also have to try and ride the trucks. If we all try and work together we can make a difference for a family or two by putting money in a mission box or give some of your old clothes and toys to a charity that supports some people like these ones in the movie and in other poor countries

I think that the video was very inspiring for me because it showed me what we have been doing compared to what other people are doing in poorer countries. The people in the other countries have to do like walking so many kilometers just to get water and they were only about 4-7 years old. It has helped me see what is happening to other people when I’m complaining about the little things like what’s for dinner and why the computer wont work.

This movie has made me feel very selfish and pathetic about myself. I am very grate full that I have three meals a day and fresh drinking water. Some of the children don’t have any parents to go home to and that would made me feel horrible because when times are tough I can go to my parents for help. I don’t have a war outside of my house or people taking me and killing me and my family. I want to change some of the children’s life because I would hate to be in their shoes not that they have any.

This video has made me feel that we should be grateful for this wonderful country that we live in. The reason why is because that in Australia we have everything in our country that we shouldn’t really cry about. Another thing in that video clip that we didn’t like was when the girl a boy sulk over not having the right equipment, and they didn’t think about what other children or adults have.

I think this video was very inspiring because it showed be how selfish I am when there are people that are only 4-8 years of age and have to collect their water every day and carry the buckets filled with water on their head.

We thought that this film clip from you-tube was really sad. We thought this because we remembered that we are very lucky to have such a wonderful country to live in. We are pretty selfish when you really think about it by wanting everything when the people in East Timor are living on one bowl of rice a week and we are here wanting everything. Sometimes I feel really sad when we watch this clip because they are over at Timor with NO FOOD OR DRINK and we are here saying we want MORE.

This video make’s K.H and E.T feel glad that we have a family that cares for us and that we have fresh food and water. People in the world should just except what they have because our country is lucky enough that we are wealthy. There are too many people in the world that suffer from no food, no water, no shelter and no medical care. In this condition everyone should step in and save a child by sponsoring them, giving them charity money, clothes, toys, medical appliances or food (tins) and water.

The video on teenage affluenza was very sad in all sorts of ways and it made mum cry and me too because it has made us realize that we in Australia are so lucky that we don’t have a war outside our window and we have all the fresh food and clean water we could ever need in our lives. We have the government looking after us and we also have very good houses to live in and recourses to use when we are sick. The video has also made us understand that even though we have everything we need we still want more.
It makes us glad that we have a family to look up to in the hard times and know they will always be there for each other.
It’s sad to know that we only have to step to get to a clean running water tap and people in poverty have to walk miles to get to the dirtiest water ever.

The movie has made us feel guilty that we have everything from the latest technology to the best housing possible. We should all be equal in the world and have the same rights and quality of living like others. We should try to make a difference in the world!

It is a very powerful video in that it makes us think not only of people who are less fortunate than ourselves but it also makes us think about how lucky we are.
I did not post the video to make anyone feel guilty. It was more about reminding people that we are very lucky and perhaps a little forgetful of others at times.
I also hoped that the video along with some of the work that we did in class may motivate many of us to do something postive -to "reach out" to others and help them.

"Reaching out" is exactly what we are doing by collecting money in our own classroom to donate to the people of East Timor at the end of the year.

"Reaching Out" is also exactly what Jesus did for us and is also what he wants us to do for others.

This movie really made me realize how silly or idiotic we can be that girl in the movie sounded like spoilt brat and still wanted more but when I thought about it I remember that we have all done it and not realize how lucky we are.
