ENERGY

WELCOME BACK YEAR 6

LINKING TO OUR PREVIOUS WORK ON THE TYPES OF COMMUNICATION WE USE IN OUR WORLD WE ARE NOW GOING TO SPEND SOME TIME INVESTIGATING DIFFERENT FORMS OF ENERGY THAT WE USE IN OUR WORLD.

NAME AT LEAST ONE FORM OF ENERGY THAT YOU KNOW OF.

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ELECTRICITY?

WHAT QUESTIONS DO YOU HAVE ABOUT ELECTRICITY?

WHAT IS HYDROELECTRIC ENERGY?

DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD LEARN ABOUT DIFFERENT FORMS OF ENERGY? WHAT IF WE JUST DECIDED NOT TO DO IT???????

I know at least one form of energy which is wind but I would like to know more and different kinds of energy.

Some things I know about Electricity are that they come from power lines that come from power stations.

Some questions I have about Electricity are why you have to pay for it, why do we have it and how does it help use.

What is HYDROELECTRIC energy I don’t know what HYDROELECTRIC energy is so I am hoping that you will teach about it in our next hsie class?

I think that we should learn about the different forms of energy because if we didn’t we wouldn’t know how to use the latest technology.
If we didn’t decide to learn about energy and later on in life we go for a job and they want you to use the different forms of energy you wouldn’t know what to do. So I think that we should learn about energy.

The energy form that I know about is wind power.

I know that electricity can come from various things including solar, wind, food and water which humans produce and the earth (fossil fuel)

Who discovered electricity and how did the person run machines on it.

Hydroelectric means the electricity comes from water. (hydro means water)

I think we should learn about different forms of electricity for our own benefit for the future.

If we didn’t learn about electricity we would be stuck in the future on things like when we sit tests in high school and things it would be really hard for us.

A form of energy that I know of is Electricity

Electricity hangs from tall power lines and powers most of our modern technology.
With out electricity we couldn’t power our fridges and freezers which means we can’t eat any cold or hot foods. There are also power station to power the electricity. Electricity powers our lights and if we don’t have that we couldn’t see at night.

I want to know what electricity is made out of and how it moves from power lines.

I am not sure but I do want to know from its LARGE name.

We could learn about different types of electricity but we probably want need it in the future only if we do a job that involves it.

One form of energy that I f is Electricity because it is a really big form of energy.

I don’t know much about electricity but I know the pretty much the basics and a bit more.

Some questions are how does electricity form? And how do blackouts occur?

Well, I think hydroelectric energy is electricity with water or something like that.

I think we should learn about it but in a fun way because if we didn’t learn it then it might come up in high school and we wouldn’t know it.

1 form of energy that I know of is solar power energy. Solar energy comes from the sun.

That electricity can not be created it can be transformed. Electricity if made from many different things like fossil fuels, the sun, the wind and even water.

Yes I do have some question about electricity to ask. How can electricity get from one the wires outside to my CD player? Also how can solar power get from outside to my house?

Hydroelectric energy is made from water.

Yes of corse we should learn of different types of energy. If we decided not to do it we can’t help prevent global warming getting any worse then it is now. Also because in high school we will probably learn about this kind of stuff. But if we learn it now we can understand it better for next year.
